68 days until the moment when we will replace the levs with euros. Days when one of the most asked questions is - what will happen to prices.

"At the moment, we cannot say that we are concerned about the observed growth of entire industries, sectors. There are upward changes in prices, but they are mainly for individual products - seasonal products, for which it is normal for the price to change,", believes the chairman of the Consumer Protection Commission, Alexander Kolyachev.

"I cannot talk about speculation. When we have a worrying increase in price, then a detailed analysis must be made. When an answer cannot be found as to why this price has increased so much, then sanctions are imposed," Kolyachev said.

According to him, the "How much does it cost" website is fully functional. The idea of the website is to have accessibility and transparency of prices.

"People are currently complaining the most about services, for example - hairdressing services, locksmith services, as far as we have information from complaints." According to Kolyachev, there is a way to quickly determine whether there is speculation about increasing the prices of services or whether they are related to the economic growth of the prices of certain products necessary for this service.

"If the price of a service during currency conversion is rounded in favor of increasing the price, this is an error that should be reported," the expert said.

He called for reports to be sent to a national hotline - 070011122, a special mobile application. According to the law on the introduction of the euro, prices should not change upon the introduction of the euro if there is no change in certain economic factors that determine costs.
