The government allocated 2,698,690 leva for scholarships to 73 municipal schools, whose graduates performed best in the state matriculation exams in Bulgarian language and literature and in mathematics.
The schools are determined according to the educational results for five consecutive years, the press center of the Council of Ministers reported. They are divided into seven groups - four with average results in Bulgarian language and literature and three - in mathematics. According to the different groups in which the schools fall, the amount of funds per student varies from 30 to 90 leva.
These are additional funds for scholarships for educational results of students in the respective schools.
