"Lukoil“ hopes that the special manager of its assets in Bulgaria will ensure their normal functioning and fuel supplies to the country's market, the company announced today, TASS reports, quoted by "Focus".
"We express hope that the external manager will act in strict accordance with applicable legislation in order to continue the activities of the organizations, will ensure their normal work to supply the Bulgarian market with fuel, pay taxes and maintain high standards of social policy in relation to the plant's employees, established and maintained by "Lukoil", the statement states.
The company also notes that it reserves the right to protect its rights and legitimate interests in court in case of their violation.
On November 14, a law was adopted in Bulgaria to introduce external management at the "Lukoil - Neftochim Burgas" plant, "Lukoil - Bulgaria" and other organizations of the "Lukoil" group in Bulgaria are subject to external management, and from November 17, 2025, all powers of the management bodies of the aforementioned organizations will be transferred to an external (special) manager.
