"I am puzzled that they are proposing that the Bulgarian sports totalizator be given to concession, because such a measure is not proposed between the first and second reading of the budget. A serious public discussion is being held. This reminds me of this 27-second commission that they recently created, which is a symbol of the working methods of this government - no discussion, no debate, no coordination, that is, such an important change is announced with one-month consultations through a bill, and not made quickly in three days". This was stated to the Bulgarian National Radio by Martin Dimitrov, a member of the PP-DB party and a member of the Budget Committee in parliament:
"In general, the current government seems extremely opaque, inconsistent and is starting to become dangerous for the financial system, because for 25 years there have been all kinds of governments, but the redistribution through the budget, that is, all expenditures of the gross product, has never exceeded 40%. Now it is going to nearly 46% and if we count what they will spend below the line, it even comes out more. This means that the current government is starting to spend much more, by 6% more than all governments in the last 25 years".
"The rulers are hitting the middle class and small and medium-sized businesses", he emphasized in an interview for the "Predi visi" program on the "Horizont" program the deputy from PP-DB:
"They are hitting them with the increase in dividend tax, which is doubling, with the increase in social security contributions, with the increase in the maximum social security income, but also with the introduction of systems such as state-licensed software, which companies will have to introduce and this will make everything very expensive, we thought that maybe 1000 leva per small company would cost the so-called SUPTO, that is, they are introducing many additional administrative measures of a harassing nature on business and that is where the decline in development comes from".
