Of the 750 million BGN planned for this year in the state budget for municipal projects under the Investment Program, over 600 million BGN have already been paid. Advance payments on the projects are pending through the Bulgarian Development Bank. This was announced by the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Ivan Ivanov.
The budget for next year includes 920 million euros, with which to pay for the already started projects of the municipalities. This is twice as much as the resource for this year, it became clear from the words of the minister.
„To date, the project proposals of municipalities recorded in Appendix 3 to the Law on the State Budget of the Republic of Bulgaria are for nearly 8 billion leva“, the minister announced and stated that the government has the ambition to have them implemented by the end of its mandate.
Today, Regional Minister Ivan Ivanov inspected the implementation of infrastructure projects in Novi Pazar. He got acquainted with the progress of the renovation activities at the stadium in the city, for which 2.4 million leva have been provided from the state budget. They are already in an advanced stage of implementation, with the second phase of the renovation ahead. In the city, the minister also visited the renovated „Pliska“ street, the renovation of which has already been completed. The section has a new asphalt surface, the water supply system underneath it has also been replaced, with the repairs costing 1.39 million leva.
„The Municipality of Novi Pazar is one of the excellent ones in the region. It is one of the examples of good implementation of projects and good absorption of funds under the Investment Program“, said Ivan Ivanov.
Mayor Georgi Georgiev thanked the Minister for the good partnership in the implementation of the sites under the Program and emphasized that the municipality has 6 agreements with the MRDPW and is currently implementing all six.
The Shumen municipalities have concluded agreements with the MRDPW for over 190 million leva, which are at different stages of implementation, it became clear from the minister's words.
Ivan Ivanov announced to journalists that the DNSK and the Agency for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre will present the results of the inspections in more detail tomorrow.
“The most important thing is that the colleagues from the DNSK managed to issue an act for the demolition of the illegal construction, implemented by an unknown perpetrator in the riverbed that caused the disaster in Elenite“, said the regional minister and stressed that he expects official information from the Ministry of Environment and Water for all riverbeds so that the picture throughout the country can be clear.
Regarding the serious accident on the Plovdiv Ring Road, the minister announced that the “Road Infrastructure“ Agency is currently analyzing the condition of the road. “Investigators will say what the causes of the incident are, but if there is a discrepancy with the regulatory acts and requirements for the road, they will be established after an audit that the RIA will conduct“, explained Ivanov. He recalled that this road was built in 2019, and as of today the regulatory framework is different.
