The protests must continue. There must be no concessions until the "Insolent" coalition is forced to resign, said the leader of "Vazrazhdane" Kostadin Kostadinov at a briefing for journalists.
Last night, the protest filled the square in front of the Presidency, the National Assembly and the Council of Ministers. Citizens protested against the draft budget for 2026 in Sofia and other cities in the country. The organizers of the discontent were from the "Continuing Change - Democratic Bulgaria" (PP-DB). In the late hours there were also riots in the capital. On the night of the protest, the leader of "Vazrazhdane" Kostadin Kostadinov published on Facebook a verse from the poem “September“ by Geo Milev.
“For us, this protest is an indicator that a large part of Bulgarian society does not want to be trampled and kept in a state of slavery. For me, this was the voice of the Bulgarian people“, said Kostadinov. We are governed by corrupt mafias, he also said, comparing corruption to the diagnosis of “cancer“.
Kostadin Kostadinov also commented on the topic of the vote of no confidence, requested earlier today by the PP-DB. “They should not hold a vote of no confidence that is for a comprehensive policy. Let them rethink their proposal for this“, said Kostadinov. In his words, none of this would have happened if Bulgaria had not been forcibly strengthened towards the eurozone.
