What comes next is the job of the political forces. This was stated to the Bulgarian National Radio by Svetlin Tachev, a political analyst from the "Myara" agency.
"It is very wrong to think that a protest should know this. It is not united. These are people with different beliefs.
Generations should be considered only chronologically from the point of view of the protests, Tachev also explained.
The process that began in 2020 went through different stages, he explained in the program "Nedelya 150".
"This is a transformational process. The protests in 2025 were part of it. They happened because tension was building up.".
The government, which has already resigned, had complete comfort in governing because there was no alternative, the political scientist believes.
"This comfort led to making mistake after mistake. A number of scandals were also committed.
The arrest of Blagomir Kotsev displaced the "east-west" discourse and he returned to the "status quo-change" of 2020. It was a matter of time to launch a new major protest mobilization.
Tachev indicated what reasons he sees for the government to rush to resign.
"It is looking for an opportunity to shift responsibility to the opposition.
The quick resignation reduces the tension on the street.
The motive of GERB and especially Borisov is that he did not feel comfortable in this government because of the pressure of "DPS-New Beginning", which was very clear during the elections in Pazardzhik.
The government was playing for history - to get the country into the eurozone.
In future early elections, two factors will have a great influence, Tachev indicated.
"What will happen during the winter months - whether new energy will be generated, social discontent and what will be done President Rumen Radev".
