"DPS-New Beginning": We strictly monitor prices and insist on firm measures against speculation - 1

The Parliamentary Group of "DPS-New Beginning" is carefully and thoroughly monitoring all processes related to the country's transition from the lev to the euro, as well as the topics that concern Bulgarian citizens on the eve of the new year. This is stated in the position of the deputies from the political formation to the media.

"In their daily communication with the people, the MPs from the PG of "DPS-New Beginning" consider the serious concerns about speculative price increases as a main problem. These concerns are further strengthened by the ongoing political crisis and the related doubts about low control and insufficient sanction severity against violators", the deputies from the parliamentary group also point out.

Within the framework of its consistent and active work to protect Bulgarian citizens, the Parliamentary Group of "DPS-New Beginning" requested specific information in a letter from the competent institutions - the CPC, the CPC and the Commission on Commodity Exchanges and Markets, information on specific measures taken against traders who speculate, information on the current state of prices of basic goods from the large consumer basket, as well as on the sanctions imposed to date on established violators.

"The Parliamentary Group of "DPS-New Beginning" expresses its categorical concern about the lack of sufficient firmness and uncompromisingness on the part of the control authorities in all attempts to speculatively increase prices. "Protecting the income and interests of Bulgarian citizens requires real control, timely action and clear responsibility," the parliamentary group added.
