A prosecutor at the Sofia District Prosecutor's Office will protest the preventive measure imposed on a 35-year-old man who kept special recording devices hidden in school toilets, the press center of the SRP reports.
Alexander Evtimov has been brought to criminal liability for the fact that from an unspecified date in 2025 to 16.12.2025 at a school in the residential area "Geo Milev" in the city of Sofia, was in possession of a special technical device intended for collecting information – video surveillance cameras. He was also held criminally liable for having created pornographic materials by filming with hidden cameras placed in the toilets, and for creating the materials, persons under the age of 18 were used.
Pre-trial proceedings are underway in the case for crimes under Art. 159, Para. 4, Item 1, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code and Art. 339a, Paragraph 2, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code. Evtimov was detained for a period of up to 72 hours.
Today, 19.12.2025, a supervising prosecutor filed a request with the Sofia District Court for the determination of a measure of "detention in custody" against Evtimov. The court imposed a preventive measure on the accused "cash bail" in the amount of 5,000 leva.
