A serious accident involving a shunting locomotive and passenger cars was registered at the capital's railway depot "Nadezhda". According to unofficial data, the machine hit a train prepared for the Sofia - Vidin fast train, as well as another group of cars in the area of the depot.
The collision occurred immediately before the cars were taken out to service the regular line.
The unofficial information is about significant damage to the rolling stock. According to sources at the scene, the damage is extensive and some of the wagons will likely be decommissioned and scrapped.
