On Saturday, February 7, the Blagoevgrad fire department received a report of a fire in a hotel in Petrich. A fire truck was immediately dispatched to the scene by the local fire department, and the team quickly put out the fire in the kitchen exhaust, the General Directorate of Fire Safety and Population Protection (GDPBZN) announced on its website.
At the time of the incident, two families were in the hotel - a total of five people - who were evacuated to a safe distance. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Firefighters specify that timely intervention prevented the fire from spreading and causing damage to other parts of the hotel. The causes of the incident are being clarified.
A total of 53 fires have been extinguished in the country over the past 24 hours, no people were injured. This was announced by the General Directorate of Fire and Rescue Services.
Firefighters in the country have responded to 90 reports of accidents. 20 fires have occurred with direct material damage. Eight of them are in residential buildings, five in vehicles, etc. 33 fires have occurred without material damage. 31 rescue activities and assistance operations have been carried out. Firefighters have assisted in accidents, breakdowns, drainage, etc. There have been six false alarms.
