Rumen Hristov: No one has sacrificed voters in the US and UK to limit violations in Turkey - 1

„We are talking about an extremely serious criminal case, the likes of which Bulgaria has not had in decades. However, the most reliable information for us must be that from the institutions working on the case. So far, we have been drawing information mainly from the media". He stated this in the program „Na Fokus” on Nova TV, the chairman of the UDF Rumen Hristov on the serious case of a triple murder in the "Petrohan" chalet.
Regarding the registration of the NGO that manages the property - as a "National Agency", he emphasized that: „I suppose that there is no legal requirement that they must be checked, but this does not mean that the services should not do it. If it is about the National Agency for Breeding of Farm Animals - fine. But when we are talking about security and similar activities, this is extremely misleading. Especially if representatives of such agencies are in uniforms, insignia and have the right to carry weapons - they respect people. This is undoubtedly a breakthrough in the security of the state.".
The chairman of the UDF also commented on the changes in the Electoral Code, which introduced a limit of up to 20 sections in countries outside the European Union. According to him, the three countries where voting is most widespread are Great Britain, the USA and Turkey.

"In Great Britain, when there was no limit, we had about 21 thousand votes. When there was a limit - about 20 thousand. In the USA, the votes are about 8 thousand. The most votes come from Turkey. The concerns were that several generations of young people no longer have a real connection with Bulgaria, they do not know Bulgarian. We have seen reports on national television about violations in the sections - IP addresses from which thousands of applications were submitted, two IP addresses a few kilometers away", he explained.
And he was categorical that "no one has sacrificed voters in the USA and Great Britain in order to limit violations in Turkey".

"Usually we receive about 130-140 thousand votes from abroad, with the main part being from Turkey and going to the MRF or derivative formations. They carry 2-3 mandates for the first, 2 for the second, etc. This never ensures a majority. With about 80 mandates expected for Mr. Radev - as the forecasts are, these votes are not decisive. However, the battle is big and every vote matters. For every parliamentaryly represented subject, this is a battle of life and death", he said.

According to him, Krum Zarkov, who was elected chairman of the BSP, is "the person closest to President Radev". "A joint appearance in the elections is probably being sought, because the risk of the BSP not entering parliament is not to be underestimated. I am not an analyst, but nothing was said about another formation or coalition with which Radev will appear in the elections. The congress was hasty and coincided with the postponement of the elections," he pointed out.
