General Directorate for Combating Organized Crime“ (GDBOP) celebrates 35 years since its establishment.
The Directorate was established on February 13, 1991 as the Central Service for Combating Organized Crime, Drug Trafficking and Arms Trade (CSSBOP).
The General Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs today continues to be a guarantor of public security and a reliable international partner.
This is the first specialized structure in the country after the changes in 1989, aimed entirely at combating serious and cross-border organized crime.
This is also the only service with the structure and authority to conduct special operations “undercover”.
At that time, services with similar competencies and functions existed in the United Kingdom and the United States.
Chief Commissioner Boyan Raev and the management of GDBOP congratulate all employees on the holiday and wish them health and prosperity.
The GDBOP thanks its employees for their professionalism and dedication to this responsible profession.
"Continue to be the force that knows and can, that develops with the changing world, foresees, analyzes and acts.
You are an example of how to serve the law and society and how to build a team and an institution - with the transfer of experience, with character, discipline and morality.
We know that society can be peaceful with people like you! Happy holiday!", write the GDBOP.
