The 23rd hearing in the case of the death of 14-year-old Filip Arsov is expected to be held today.
The boy was run over on a pedestrian crossing in the center of Sofia on September 2, 2023.
Petar Todorov is accused of the accident. Expert tests proved that he ran over Filip at a speed of nearly 90 km/h and with over 2 per mille of alcohol in his blood. The last hearing in the case was postponed. The magistrates had to listen to the conclusion of the video-technical expertise of the footage from the accident.
More than two years after Philip's death, there is still no verdict, and the accused Petar Todorov has been under house arrest for over a year.
This morning in front of the courthouse, Philip's relatives and the association "Angels on the Road" will again demand justice for the boy's death.
