Bulgaria is in no way participating in the operation in the Middle East. Most likely, the negotiations in Geneva did not lead to the necessary result, Israel has launched air strikes against Iran. These strikes are putting pressure on the regime to make Iran agree to the conditions and that it has no other choice but to accept the conditions for suspending their nuclear program. This was stated by the acting Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov to bTV.
"The reaction of our state has always been for a peaceful resolution of this issue, we appeal for a de-escalation of tensions", he added.
He recalled that Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov decided and will convene the Security Council later today, the services that will report the assessments will also be notified.
"Nothing results from what is happening for our armed forces, we are not a party to this operation", Zapryanov also stated.
