The Ruse police detained a 34-year-old taxi driver after he documented his crime himself. According to the official bulletin of the Ruse Regional Department of Internal Affairs, the man broadcasted a live video on social networks while consuming alcohol and driving his car through the streets of the city.
After receiving the signal on Tuesday morning, the duty teams of the Second Regional Department immediately located the offender. The Opel car was detected and stopped for inspection on "Sini Kamani" street in Ruse.
When tested with a technical device, the device recorded over 2.5 per mille of alcohol in the exhaled air. The offender was escorted to a medical facility to give a blood sample, after which he was taken and detained in custody.
A rapid criminal case has been initiated against the 34-year-old Ruse resident for a crime under Article 343b, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code. Work on the case continues under the strict supervision of the prosecutor's office.
