A quick vote buying case has been opened in Nova Zagora, and one person has been detained. Witnesses have been questioned. 7 pre-trial proceedings have been opened.
Checks have been carried out in private homes and commercial establishments throughout the district. Lists of names, addresses and personal data, cash and mobile phones with suspected links to the upcoming vote have been seized. 9 warning protocols have also been drawn up.
Over 140 kilograms of meat of unclear origin and a large quantity of cigarettes without tax stamps have been seized in the “Nadezhda“ neighborhood. Four illegal commercial establishments have been closed. Traffic violations were also found, including driving under the influence of alcohol and using a fake license. Police said checks on vote-buying would continue until the end of election day.
