"Market LINKS" predicted a 5-party parliament with a very clear leader - 1

A 5-party parliament with a very clear leader - this is indicated by a survey funded and implemented jointly by bTV and “Market LINKS“. It was conducted among 1003 people over 18 in the country in the period 7-14 April 2026 using the methods of direct-personal interview and online survey.

First is “Progressive Bulgaria“ with 30.8%, second are GERB-SDF with 18%, third are PP-DB with 11.2%, fourth are "DPS-New Beginning" with 6.5%, and fifth – – – Vazrazhdane“ with 4.2%.

Below the 4-percent barrier remain &ndquo;Velicie“ with 3.1%, &ndquo;Siyanie“ with 2.3%, MECH with 2% and &ndquo;BSP - United Left“ with 2%. &ndquo; We expect significantly higher voter turnout. &ndquo;Progressive Bulgaria“ draws from these newcomers to the electoral process Bulgarian citizens“, said in &ndquo; This Morning” on bTV Dobromir Zhivkov from „Market LINKS“.

„In this picture that we observe, there are 15% who have not yet decided who they will vote for. About 90% of those who have hesitated so far are heading towards „Progressive Bulgaria“, the sociologist specified.

„We expect a very prominent leader who has the claim to bring a change to the political governance model“, added Zhivkov.

According to him, the dynamics are mainly in the first political formation.

Here is what the forecast of „Market LINKS“ indicates in the distribution of the 15 percent of undecided voters who they will vote for:

„Half of the undecided voters go directly to „Progressive Bulgaria“ and they win with 38%. GERB-SDF receive 19.8%, PP-DB – 13.1%, „DPS-New Beginning“ – 7.5% and „Vazrazhdane“ – 5.6%“, the sociologist explained.

Here is the distribution of the other parties:

„With a higher voter turnout, these parties will probably drop out of parliament. With a certain drop in voter turnout, there is a chance that their hard cores, on which they rely, will increase their proportional weight in relation to the voters. Then one of them may succeed in mobilizing in the last days to enter the next National Assembly“, explained Dobromir Zhivkov.

“We are obviously heading towards a situation in which “Progressive Bulgarians“ could rely on a minority government. If we wake up on Monday with a parliament with five political formations, we may have a stable government, formed on the basis of a coalition of only two political formations. However, for judicial reform, there must be at least three“, said Zhivkov.

“Mobilization is growing to reach the record 61% declared willingness to vote. We think that there is an overestimation here. However, we expect about 54% voter turnout“, said Dobromir Zhivkov.

According to him, over 50% voter turnout significantly reduces the chances of parties that are currently below the line to enter parliament.

What is the trust in political leaders?

“Consolidation is again seen around the figure of Rumen Radev – an increase in trust in him by another 3%”, explained Dobromir Zhivkov.

He specified that this arrangement was made by net rating – ratio between trust and distrust.

“We notice a serious decline in all party leaders – by about 1% to 3%“, the sociologist explained.

“Boyko Borisov, as a political leader, liked outside his political force, already seems to be moving towards leaving this position and it is obviously occupied by Rumen Radev“, commented Zhivkov.

The national survey was financed and implemented jointly by bTV and “Market LINKS“. It was conducted among 1003 people over 18 in the country in the period 7-14 April 2026 using the methods of direct-personal interview and online survey.
