"Yes, Bulgaria" insists on signing a coalition agreement with DSB and PP - 1

Late last night, the National Council of “Yes, Bulgaria“ adopted a decision instructing the party to propose to “Democrats for a Strong Bulgaria“ and “We Continue the Change“ to discuss and adopt a coalition agreement, which the coalition still does not have.

The coalition agreement should regulate basic elements such as the governing bodies of the coalition, decision-making mechanisms and rules, principles and rules for the activities of the parliamentary group, criteria for nomination of candidates, a unified personnel policy, the abolition of party quotas in the next elections, and others.

Another important emphasis of the adopted decision is the development of a “roadmap for the creation of a single democratic political entity in the center-right between the parties of the coalition and other participants outside it“.

Last but not least, the National Council of “Yes, Bulgaria“ instructed the Executive Council to begin preparations for the presidential elections and to take action to “provide support for the nomination of a single democratic candidate for president in the center-right as quickly as possible“.

The decision also assigns specific commitments to the MPs elected from the “Yes, Bulgaria“ quota in the new parliament.

These include upholding a clear opposition line that does not allow the risks arising from the concentration of power to be realized; submitting and defending right-wing measures to the draft state budget; submitting a Law on the Judiciary with new criteria for the election of the SJC and working to elect new SJCs and ISJCs under new rules; submitting and defending the anti-corruption bills proposed by MPs of “Yes, Bulgaria“ and in previous parliaments; removing the security guards of Borisov and Peevski; measures to stop the drain on the NHIF, including placing orders for medicines from private hospitals and sending SMS messages for health services.
