The Egg Festival begins on May 1 in the evening with free concerts for the audience by local rock bands and Stanislav Slanev – Stanley. For two days, visitors will be able to participate in various tastings and experience authentic flavors from the Pavlikeni region. A holiday cannot be complete without a master chef. On May 2, in the early afternoon, 300 eggs will be cooked for visitors in the "Kiril Rakarov" park in the center of Pavlikeni by chef Stanislav Ivanov.
"He will cook a deconstructed "Pavlova" cake with sponge cake, baked meringue, mango gel, chocolate mousse, chocolate chips and French sable. Every visitor to the park will be able to try this culinary temptation for free. A new highlight this year is the participation of teams from our twin cities - Boldești Scaeni (Romania) and Leova (Moldova). Their chefs will present specific dishes with eggs," said the mayor of Pavlikeni, Eng. Emanuil Manolov.

For the third year, all settlements in the Pavlikeni municipality will show their traditions, unusual dishes based on old recipes and folk customs, explained the mayor Emanuil Manolov:
"Each settlement will have its own tent, in which to present the most delicious local dishes, the most interesting local traditions, the most fascinating local legends, myths and tales, the most beautiful local products. Each stand will also have its own charitable cause. Of course, this will also be the most delicious part of the holiday, as visitors will be able to try homemade dishes at each stand. Our region is rich in culture and traditions, which we show to the audience of thousands. The most important benefit of this corner is the opportunity to remember that over 100 events are organized in our municipality annually".

On a holiday, it is most fun for children, and so it will be now at the Egg Festival in Pavlikeni.
"A large number of workshops and sports games. The animators are from Gabrovo. They will take care of the fun for five hours. . There will be a corner for adopting dogs from the shelter for stray animals, added the mayor of Pavlikeni Emanuil Manolov.

The park “Kiril Rakarov“, where the egg festival in Pavlikeni is held, is decorated with crafts made by children from local kindergartens and schools.

Traditionally, one of the most attractive places is the stand of the zoo in Pavlikeni, where visitors are presented and given boiled eggs from the different breeds of birds that are raised there, says the head of the zoo, Sezein Mehmedov:
“Every year our eggs are more and more diverse. Almost all of the eggs are edible. The most exotic eggs are from the Rhino, Emu, the Great Ostrich, and the Royal Quail“. We raise 20 species of birds".

Nearly 4,000 eggs will be cooked or broken in the various games of the festival in Pavlikeni. They are traditionally provided by the local Bulgarian-Dutch producer company.

The festival has long become a community event and attracts more and more people from near and far. 40 craftsmen present their products, as well as Pavlikeni flower and ornamental plant producers. There is a raffle with many prizes, the big one this time being an electric scooter. Entertainment is organized for young and old. All events are free, including the concert of the group “Molets“, with which this year's edition will end. The zoo, the renovated historical museum and the ancient ceramic center will be open for visits in Pavlikeni.
