Mr. Radev, the 52nd Bulgarian parliament has already been constituted. You are the leader of the largest parliamentary group in it. You have 131 deputies - a full majority. This is a huge success, for which - congratulations!
This was noted on "Facebook" by the leader of the ITN, Slavi Trifonov.
And I thought I would guess what your first move in the 52nd Bulgarian parliament would be.
While still President, you went out one evening before the news at 8:00 p.m. and announced to the entire Bulgarian people that the most important thing in your opinion is that the Bulgarians be asked; that no politician should make a decision without consulting their sovereign - the Bulgarian people.
That is why you initiated a referendum on the Bulgarian lev - more precisely, whether to adopt the euro or stay with the lev. You even stated that now is the most inappropriate time to adopt the euro.
I, Mr. Radev, watched you on television and said to myself: “This is a cruel, very right move“. The people must be consulted.
I myself initiated a referendum in which three and a half million Bulgarians voted. I have always been in favor of implementing direct democracy and as proof - in the 51st parliament, the parliamentary group of the ITN voted for the referendum initiated by President Radev to be held.
But the parties GERB, “DPS - New Beginning“, PPDB and BSP stopped its holding.
And I, Mr. Radev, thought that the first thing you would do, as the leader of a party with 131 deputies in the 52nd parliament, would be to initiate the referendum on the leva in question.
Because now you have all the power and no one and nothing can stop you.
That's right, Mr. Radev - the people gave you this power and one of the reasons is that they are waiting to be asked.
So, Mr. Radev, where is the referendum?
