BSP-Sofia chose its new leader - Diana Tonova. She received the support of 82 of the delegates at the city conference over the weekend.
"It is obvious that yesterday's decision puts the city organization on a different path than before. The announcements from the leadership of the party show that in the last 2 years the resistance forces in the city organization have decreased", commented the chairman of the Strategic Institute for National Policies and Ideas (SINPI) Kaloyan Pargov in the studio of "Day ON AIR".
He stated that he did not run for the chairmanship of BSP-Sofia, as two mandates are enough, as per the party's statute, which, according to him, must be respected by everyone, including Cornelia Ninova.
"Modern politics is very wasteful. 5-10 years is a long time. I can no longer be responsible. A personal decision of Cornelia Ninova will be whether she wants to be responsible for the consequences of her choice, if she is elected," commented Pargov.
Before Bulgaria ON AIR, he also commented on Vanya Grigorova's request to enter the battle for the parliamentary elections, as a continuation of her success in the mayoral race.
"This will affect SOS and its presence. In this election, we will be against each other, not together, as we were last year. This will lead to fragmentation of the left vote, but without a doubt BSP will have the largest share," Pargov is convinced.
He recalled that Maya Manolova won about 1% of the votes in the elections and emphasized that Vanya Grigorova's success in the mayoral vote came with the support of the BSP: "Many people ran from the BSP and claim that everything is theirs, but when they go out on their own - the result is different".
In his words, the problem of unification in the left space is the personal relationships between people who used to be together in politics, but have separated over time.
"Mutual concessions and steps back must be made here, the collection process is difficult. Until now, Ninova has not shown that it can collect, I do not see such a desire on the other side, we are looking at mutual deception", the guest is convinced.
"It is obvious that in GERB, after these 9 months of (non)coalition, they feel comfortable, purified, DPS is at the peak of its powers, balancing the processes in the state. Some say that "Revival" have reached their ceiling - given the situation in the world, I don't think so. "Revival" is the punitive vote of the sane who do not want democracy in this form. ITN have their own policy. The situation in the country is quite confused", Kaloyan Pargov also commented.
