In a rather long post, Simov expresses his disappointment with the decision of Yoncheva, who is an MEP from the BSP. She was the leader of the list of the left for the European elections in 2019, followed by Petar Vitanov and Tsvetelina Penkova.

Elena Yoncheva hit the moral bottom.
I still have a hard time believing it.
I don't want to believe it, but her words are in front of my eyes - she accepted the DPS nomination as recognition for the work she did. And it became painfully clear to me that we would see her as a candidate from their list. But that's her problem. Moral, ethical, political, but hers.
What is a public problem is the fact that with this agreement she is destroying dozens of causes in which thousands have invested trust over the years. Because they saw in her a symbol of the battle with the "WHO" model, an uncompromising fighter against corruption, an exposer of the backstage, a voice against injustice.
I believed her.
At the meeting of the National Council of the BSP, when we nominated her as the leader of the list for the European elections, I said that she is the voice of a whole new generation of socialists who do not want to accept the hopelessness of the corruption webs and the lack of any prospect for a different life .
It turned out to be a lie.
That all her causes are theater.
And the battles are a grand deception.
Dozens of socialists worked day and night for her, because they thought that she brought with her a new understanding of politics.
All this is now in ruins.
Yoncheva betrayed the trust of so many people that it is painful. The one that was supposed to be a symbol of the fight for a different country turned out to be a puppet of the parallel state.

This political gendering is crushing because it is such a process that destroys people's trust, destroys hope for a different future and demonstrates such a moral abyss that peering into it makes you dizzy.
Besides this political travesty, however, everyone can see how difficult, painful and difficult the process of cleaning the BSP from addictions and political cobwebs is. This process was sabotaged at every step, but it turned out that, albeit stumbling, albeit faltering, that it made sense for the BSP to turn back in anger, even on people it had carried in its arms, so that it could come out to the public and say – “yes, we took the hooks, we endured the shooting in the back, but we did not spare the truth and we never sold out“.
