Dimitar Manolov on the postponement of liberalization: Work "piecemeal". I'm not sure if this year will be enough - 1

The President of CT "Potkrepa" Dimitar Manolov defined as work "piecemeal" postponing the liberalization of the electricity market by one year, BNR reports. He believes that parliament would not have decided on the postponement if there were no early elections on June 9:
"They might not have had to delay it if they just hadn't introduced it. Second, I am not sure if this 1 year will be enough. This is how we will work – "piecemeal", because what we are dealing with now is piecemeal work. How will we act? We will continue to fight to bring things into some kind of normality, into a normal rhythm".

Ognyan Atanasov from KNSB:

"There is no postponing liberalization for people in a regulated market. Liberalization remains from 2026. All of us, with you, from the year 2026 it is not clear what money we will pay for electricity bills. This is a postponement of the so-called "first step". We agree, of course, because it will give a breath of fresh air to the TPP "Maritsa-East 2", but we also insist for the people that the market be postponed until 2029 for another 3 years.

They both made their statements after a meeting with President Rumen Radev.

In the Council of Ministers, acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev and Minister of Energy Vladimir Malinov are talking to representatives of energy companies and miners. Statements for the media are planned after the meeting.
