Thus, in general, the penultimate session for the deputies began. However, it turned out to be the last for Rosen Zhelyazkov as Speaker of the National Assembly. According to him “taking the head” the first person in the parliament has given an official start to the pre-election campaign. “It was a demonstration of political power”, added the political scientist.
According to him, voter turnout on June 9 will be low and this will be a problem. The reason for it, he claims, is rooted in the fact that politicians do not conduct political conversations, but want voters to recognize them as such. “There is a divergence in the conceptual environment. You call yourself a politician, but the citizens don't recognize you as such, and then they are to blame," explained Stefanov.
