I don't think that in the current situation in the parliament there can be a workable majority without GERD, said at the presentation of the list of “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria“ in Varna, its guide Daniel Laurer, broadcast by BTA. He emphasized that the messages of the coalition remain the same – that it is time for reforms in Bulgaria. According to Laurer, such are needed above all in the judicial system. According to him, the beginning was made with the changes in the Constitution, now changes are needed in the Law on the Judiciary.
After the appearance of PP-DB, both GERB and DPS realized that they cannot manage the old one and the reforms will have to be completed, Laurer also said. According to him, the good tone was lost after bringing in a government without their consent. However, this was a result, the real root cause was that both GERB and DPS refused to make the reforms that we consider key, Laurer also said. He was categorical that on this point PP-DB will not back down and even if they are in opposition and someone else's government proposes the reforms, they will support them.
Laurer also commented that European topics are becoming an increasingly large part of the agenda, although our society does not pay serious attention to them. He urged the Bulgarians to vote for the European Parliament, because at least half of the things that the Bulgarian National Assembly deals with are legislation coming from Europe. Against this background, the European elections are perhaps even more important than the national ones, Laurer added.
