Car registration in the Traffic Police (now "Traffic Police") has always been a symbol of inefficient administrative processes in the state. This was announced on "Facebook" MP from PP-DB Bozhidar Bojanov.
You take a vacation, hang around for hours, no one tells you exactly where to go, "we don't have a pos-terminal" (for the eco-tax, for example), corrupt (to get through faster), sometimes they send to another city, sometimes the documents are not enough, etc.
That is why, in fulfillment of the promise from the previous elections, we included digitalization and optimization of this process in the management program of the Denkov cabinet, with a deadline of the end of 2024.
But also, a few months ago I prepared an amendment to the law that provides for four things:
1) possibility of online registration
2) recording a time for passing through a channel and only in cases where the Ministry of the Interior assesses that there is a high risk of fraud
3) in the mass (low-risk) case, the case of receiving documents and plates either by courier or when passing a technical inspection point specified during registration
4) payment of everything, incl. ecotax, in one place.
I sent the project to the Ministry of the Interior, as they had a specific concern only regarding the collection of the ecotax.
Whether this measure will be implemented in the next 6 months, as planned, will also depend on the next parliament. I will insist, incl. with a legislative initiative, for maximum convenience.
