The parents of the deceased 5-year-old child in the village of Stob called an emergency team from the town of Rila twice last night.
"The first time I went to the address around 11 pm on a report of a child with abdominal pain. The parents said that the child had a disorder during the day. I looked it over, but there was nothing to worry about. He was in good condition, no fever, calm abdomen and normal breathing. I explained to the mother what to do to stop the diarrhea. I also prescribed anti-vomiting suppositories so that he does not become dehydrated, because a virus has entered the city with vomiting and disorder," said Dr. Vladimir Pandev, who examined the boy, writes 24 Hours.
Around 1 a.m., EMS received another call from the parents that the child had a seizure.
When Dr. Pandev went to the home again, he found that the child had no vital signs, but nevertheless he took resuscitation measures and immediately transported him by ambulance to the Emergency Department of the hospital in Blagoevgrad. And there, a resuscitation team fought for the child's life for more than 40 minutes, but he died. It most likely threw up in its sleep and suffocated.
The parents explained that after the first visit to the doctor, they went to Blagoevgrad to buy the prescribed medicine and when they returned they found their child in a helpless state.
The forensic examination will determine the cause of the boy's death.
