The deputy director of the Lovech police was fired. This was announced by Nova TV, referring to high-ranking sources in the Ministry of the Interior.
A case has been opened against Georgi Ivanov, which the state brings against him for electricity theft. According to unofficial information, his direct supervisor and director of the Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - Lovech Stanislav Velikov, who refused to remove Ivanov after the case against him was opened.
In the directorate there were also investigators from the BOP, who check reports of drastic violations and abuses, and a working version of the investigation into the organized crime group is not excluded. The police have not yet commented on the dismissal.
On May 30 in the Lovech District Court, an injunction hearing is scheduled in the case against Ivanov for theft of electricity, established 4 years ago.
