The five-year-old child from the village of Stob, Kocherinovo municipality, died of suffocation.
This was reported by the BNR, citing sources who wished to remain anonymous.
According to the interlocutors of the media, the child probably choked on vomiting while he was in the Emergency Center in the city of Rila, Kyustendil region.
BNR also noted that the child from Stob had not been well for several days. It was brought to the general practitioner, then the trace was lost. He was later admitted to the Emergency Center in the city of Rila
The autopsy will show the exact cause of the child's death.
"The prosecutor's office in Blagoevgrad immediately initiates pre-trial proceedings, which will be transferred by jurisdiction to Kyustendil district and most likely to the prosecutor's office in Dupnitsa, which will take over the investigation from now on,", the media also indicated.
"There is also information that the child and his family were subject to work with the Department of Child Protection, BNR added.
