Rositsa Mateva explained why the 2 in 1 vote will have 4 ballot boxes - 1

In about 245 sections in the country there will be machine voting based on preliminary data. On Friday, the CEC accepted that voting will be held abroad in 60 countries, and this will take place in 769 Sectional Election Commissions (SEC). In 389 of them, voting will be held for both types of elections, and in the rest, voting will be held only for people's representatives. The CEC also adopted rules for voting by people with disabilities. On May 25, the deadline for submitting applications for voters who want to vote with a mobile ballot box expires. Every citizen with disabilities can familiarize himself with the rules on the CEC website. I want to state that the CEC categorically objects to the allegations that the chairman of the commission or its members create obstacles for the verification of the candidates for MEPs and people's representatives by the Commission on the dossiers of belonging to State Security.

This was stated at a briefing by CEC spokesperson Rositsa Mateva, who gave the latest information on the organization of the 2 in 1 vote. She also recalled that on Saturday - May 25, the deadline for voters with a registered current address in another populated place expires in the country and wish to vote in the elections on June 9 at this current address, they must submit an application to the municipal administration in order to be included in the voting list at this current address.

"Yesterday, 195 voting machines with a demo version installed were sent to the Regional Election Commissions (RIC). This demo version contains all the parties and coalitions that will participate in the European elections and those for national representatives. RICs can now demonstrate to citizens how machine voting will work. We will continue with the explanatory campaign on how to vote with both machines and ballots. I will repeat again that the CEC will create such an organization for the elections that the results will be processed on time and announced within the legal term. The fact is that for the first time so many results will be processed, but I am convinced that the RIC and the SEC will cope. There will be four boxes for the elections, because that is what the Election Code requires. There will be two boxes for the paper ballots - one for the European elections and one for national representatives. The same will apply to the machine voting - one box for the receipt for MEPs and one for people's representatives", revealed Mateva.
