"Mr. Peevski will not stop attacking because I have witnessed his extremely humiliating attempts, standing literally on all fours, to pray to all people who have ties to America". This is what Hristo Ivanov told journalists in the National Assembly, quoted by novini.bg.
"Since Mr. Delyan Peevski cannot become prime minister, being a person from Magnitsky's list, this conversation becomes meaningless. He claims to have such a conversation recorded, but this is not true. I can assure you that never, not even for a second, did it cross my mind to run for president," he explained.
"Our clear cause now is not to allow Mr. Peevski in power in any way".
"Several times in my political career I could have run for president, and it is publicly clear that this did not happen,", Ivanov explained.
I call for a return to normal public funding," he commented on the leaked recordings.
"I categorically say that there will be no next administration with Peevski. All the lies will come out. This mud campaign you see is Peevski's death knell. Objectively, he voted on the amendments to the Constitution for the judiciary with what was presented to him. I have a lot of interesting things to tell, but I won't do it," Ivanov also stated.
