Three unsuccessful attempts to start an extraordinary meeting of the National Assembly on Tuesday evening, Dariknews.bg reports. The only item on the agenda of today's second consecutive extraordinary meeting is the hearing of the Acting Minister of Energy, in his absence - of the Deputy Minister of Energy and the Chairman of the Commission for Energy and Water Regulation Ivan Ivanov , in connection with the increase in the price of electricity.
Shortly after 19:30, a quorum was not gathered to start the meeting. 111 people's representatives registered in the hall. After a 30-minute recess, a quorum was again not present. 117 deputies were registered. After another break, a quorum was not met again - 118 people's representatives registered, Nova TV reported.
GERB-SDS and DPS collected signatures and submitted a request for an extraordinary meeting of the National Assembly in connection with the price of electricity, announced at a briefing in the parliament earlier the People's Representative from GERB-SDS Temenuzka Petkova.
„Today, we from GERB-SDS and DPS submitted a request for an extraordinary meeting of the National Assembly to the National Assembly's office in order to be able to hear the Chairman of the KEVR and the Acting Minister of Energy”,he explained Temenuzka Petkova, quoted by BTA.
„The purpose of this action is not to abuse the changes in the Constitution. When we accepted the continuity of the work of the National Assembly, we did not intend for it to become a rostrum for electioneering. We want the second extraordinary meeting to be held today, so that there won't be a second one next week”, Toma Bykov added.
