You take out a quick loan to pay for urgent surgery, the winter heating bills, the new textbooks of the child to go on vacation, which you will pay for a whole year. And so the spiral turns. Until you find out that your grown-up child has also withdrawn quick money and gambles it in the hope of a miracle that will lift him out of inherited poverty. This is what Vanya Grigorova, leader of the "Solidary Bulgaria" Coalition, commented. She added that this is the everyday life for hundreds of thousands of families in European Bulgaria. The leader of the lists of the coalition in 25 MIR in Sofia, in Plovdiv-city and for the European Parliament said that she noticed the problem with the growth of the fast credit business during her tours in the country.
„This is one of the manifestations of modern slavery, presented these days as a matter of personal choice and personal responsibility. In entire regions of the country, bureaus for quick loans are springing up next to pawn shops and betting points, she added. - Coalition “Solidary Bulgaria” preparing legislative solutions to stop the epidemic. In the new National Assembly, we will work together with Maya Manolova on topics that are key for us - the law on bank fees and private bankruptcy and the restoration of justice for citizens. It is good for everyone to think about whether quick loans are not also a reservoir for soul hunters and vote brokers. Because the addicted person is often deprived of any choice“.
According to Vanya Grigorova, another big problem in the state is the favoritism of private hospitals at the expense of state hospitals, which are obliged to go through public procurement, unlike private ones. "This is how we end up with cases where we have to pay up to 28 times more expensive drugs. We need a will, this has to stop. I am already successful, albeit at the municipal level, she said. - I remind you that a collective labor agreement was signed in the capital, which increased the salaries of nurses in child and school healthcare by 30%. And there was not a single party in the National Assembly, not even from the opposition, which raised its voice against the abuses in favor of private hospitals. The problem with underfunding and the problems of emergency services, paramedics and drivers is symptomatic. By law, the ambulance must take the patient to the nearest hospital, whether private or public. But very often private hospitals refuse with various explanations. Ambulance drivers from Plovdiv say they live with 3 disc herniations and 2 quick loans.
The leader of the Coalition “Solidary Bulgaria” also comments on the topic “Srebrenica”. “Yes, there was genocide in Srebrenica, but the problem for me is the inconsistency of the UN. Where are the resolutions on the Armenian genocide, on Iraq, on the Volyn massacre. There, Ukrainian paramilitaries, now proclaimed national heroes by Kiev, massacred over 100,000 Poles...”, concluded Vanya Grigorova.
