A 27-year-old man from Kozloduy is in intensive care at the hospital in Lom, with a life-threatening condition after an accident. Three passengers were injured in a traffic accident that happened last night after they crashed their car.
The accident happened last night around 20:40 on the road from Lom to Kozloduy. The 29-year-old driver of the car on a straight stretch of the road lost control of the steering wheel, entered the oncoming lane completely, spun sideways, went left off the roadway and crashed into roadside trees before rolling over a roof.
The accident caused material damage to the car and bodily injuries to three passengers – a teenage girl, a woman and a man, aged 19, 24 and 27 respectively, all from Kozloduy. The three are placed in intensive care at the hospital in Lom under medical supervision, and the boy's life is in danger, according to the press service of the police in Montana.
The degree of physical damage to the victims is in the process of being clarified.
The tests carried out on the driver, also from Kozloduy, for the use of alcohol and drugs were negative. He was issued an act under the Road Traffic Act.
An inspection was carried out at the scene of the accident. A pre-trial proceeding has been initiated in the case.
