Lyubomir Stefanov: We will see a replica of the current parliament, but with shifted quotas. Photo finish for second-fourth place - 1

We will see a replica of the current parliament, but with shifted quotas. Political scientist Lyubomir Stefanov, a lecturer at the NBU, made the prediction before the BNR, but he also allowed for a surprise with one or two parties that would cross the electoral threshold because of "some mobilization that has eluded sociologists" ;.

"Photo finish for second-fourth place. However, the third and fourth place will be no less important. This will determine the possibility of the next cabinet and who will be the likely participants in it. ... My intuition tells me that at least 3 political entities will be needed for a government, he specified and added that there will be a photo finish from the second to fourth place and in the elections for representatives in the European Parliament.

"Surprised, I don't see which parties will enter the EP. Rather, the question will be which party will take how many mandates".
According to him, Bulgarian society currently knows where it wants to go and is aware of how to do it:

"He will not tolerate any mockery because he knows in 2013 what such attempts led to. I would like to believe that these 10 years have not been wasted and we have learned our lessons.

According to Lyubomir Stefanov, the pre-election battle is being fought on social networks and "by word of mouth, i.e. on the wireless old broken phone in familiar and friendly circles".

The political scientist indicated that he does not expect voter mobilization in the last days before the vote on June 9:

"Name parties are very comfortable handling the security of hard electorates. They are too comfortable in the worn old ruts of campaigning. ... Parties tour the country but meet only their die-hard electorates. They don't go into undirected situations to talk to citizens and expose themselves to the intense universal love".

The hypothesis that President Rumen Radev leaves the presidency and participates with a party of possible future pre-term candidates, Stefanov defined as only 10% probable:

"The comfort of "Dondukov" 2 very much suits the nature of its current inhabitant".
