The specialized action was held on the territory of the city of Svilengrad yesterday. Around 1:00 p.m. on “Vasil Levski” police teams stop for inspection a car driven by a 32-year-old man, with whom a 52-year-old woman was also traveling.
An on-the-spot check of the Home Office's systems showed that the two had no criminal records and no convictions. During the subsequent procedural actions, the uniformed officers found in the woman's purse 0.8 grams of a white powdery substance reacting to cocaine.
The driver of the vehicle was tested for the use of alcohol and drugs, and his tests gave a negative result. The search continued in the home they lived in, where officers from the Svilengrad RU and forensic experts from the Haskovo Criminal Investigation Department found two kilograms of a brown powdery substance, which in a field drug test reacted to heroin, and about 57 grams of a white powdery substance - cocaine.
The man and the woman were detained for a period of up to 24 hours in the Svilengrad RU. A pre-trial proceeding has been initiated on the case, the work on which continues under the supervision of the prosecutor's office.
