In connection with hot air entering Bulgaria air masses saturated with high amounts of dust from the Sahara, the Metropolitan Municipality warns that there is an increase in fine dust particles (FPCH10), which is reported in four of the measuring stations in the capital.
This was announced by the BNR.
Above the normal mid-night norm of FPCH10 of 50 µg/m3 were reported in "Nadezhda", "Hippodrome", "Pavlovo", "Mladost". According to forecasts of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology, temperatures are expected to reach 33 degrees tomorrow in Sofia.
In view of these data on increasing levels of fine dust particles in the air, the Metropolitan Municipality calls on citizens to limit outdoor activities. This would also protect them from the heat during the hottest hours of the day.
