We are on the threshold of Bulgaria having a new government. Words like long, responsibility, will seem to have been used up in recent years, but despite everything there remains the hope that Bulgaria will have a good and strong government that enjoys the trust of the people.
This was said by Vice President Iliyana Yotova, who took part in the official opening of the festivities to mark the 60th anniversary of the declaration of Hisarya as a city, BTA reported.
Iotova indicated that she wants those who claim to rule to be given another chance. And they should know their responsibility, that they must be real leaders and take Bulgaria out of the periphery of Europe and put it where it belongs as a country, the creator of an entire Slavic civilization, added the vice president.
Some of the greatest Bulgarian artists have come to Hisarya because this energy in the air has given them something extremely valuable - inspiration, Yotova said in her speech. According to her, the most important are the people who give the soul, image and face of Hisarya.
Hisarya's story is full of moments of trials and triumphs. It begins with the ancient Roman baths and fortresses, witnesses of life in antiquity, the mayor of the city, Iva Valcheva, said in her speech. According to her, the healing mineral springs around which the city arose have attracted people from all over the world from Roman times to today. Valcheva pointed out that the city is home to people whose hearts beat to the rhythm of its streets and parks, people who create and keep its spirit alive.
Vice President Yotova opened a retrospective exhibition presenting the rich history and culture of Hisarya. The exhibition includes historical photographs and documents that trace the development of the city. In the Summer Theater in the city, where the Hisarya holidays were launched, the mayor presented honorary plaques to deserving figures of culture and spirituality and to the mayors who left their mark in the history of Hisarya.
The celebrations continue with a concert by Orlin Pavlov and the "Mystic" Quartet. On the occasion of the anniversary, many cultural events and concerts are planned until June 30. Prominent Bulgarian musical performers, as well as the talented children of Hisarya municipality, are included in the program.
