“Is Glavchev going on an excursion for a whole week or on a working visit to Washington, which according to the work program is only one day. This is what I asked acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev from the parliamentary rostrum. And no - this is not petty theft - this is Bulgarian taxpayers' money.

This was stated in a post on social networks by the independent MP, political scientist Kaloyan Metodiev. Here is the full text of what was published on his "Facebook" profile.

“I know that for some this may be petty, but order in any country begins with politics and small things. Taxpayers' money is not a small matter - from the business trip to the highway.

The NATO summit is being held in Washington. In the parliament, the head of the Bulgarian delegation, Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev announced that they are leaving on Monday and returning on Friday. I have been to the NATO summit in London. The working part is exactly a day. World leaders don't have time - they come, state their positions, debate and leave in the fastest way back.

That's why I asked Glavchev from the parliamentary rostrum - are they going on a working visit or on an excursion, because it's been a whole week? He answered me that there was a road, that there were celebrations, that they would give a detailed report. I am attaching the official program - the meeting of the heads of government and state is only during the day on Wednesday. Judge for yourself!”
