Boyko Borisov fell into complete panic and disorientation in the last year and a half when Peevski became more visible than him. He currently thinks this is his salvation. This process will inevitably lead to GERD, and Borisov thought that finally he didn't have to do anything and that he would just get better. In his words, Borisov felt as early as the end of 2019 that the time of the “gangster model” ends and he has to come up with something else. He also explained what was the goal of Delyan Peevski in the DPS, which, however, did not work out.
“Peevski tried to “swallow” quickly, feverishly and all at once DPS to get to the position of prime minister or deputy prime minister, then go to the European Union in the state department and say “people, I am already prime minister, head of a liberal party in an EU member state and NATO, get me off the “Magnitsky” list and put me on the “son of a bitch, but your son of a bitch” list.
Dainov explained that the DPS MPs do not want to leave the party, but are threatening to do so.
“Peevski has no idea what kind of world he lives in, but large pieces of this world were given to him easily and he decided that everything was easy. He doesn't imagine that politics depends on the voters, he doesn't take them into account, and that's why it came out wrong with DPS, he said.
Dainov believes that if they make a party “New beginning” they'll get about 48,000 votes, but that won't do them any good.
“The processes of cleaning and arranging in a proper and democratic way are very difficult and happen terribly slowly. However, it passes from the era of “arbitrariness, power and simplicity” to an era of “order, legality and good education”. It's happening very slowly, but it's going through a series of crises," said the political scientist.
