„I strongly doubt that a government with the second term is possible. The chances of a cabinet are decreasing more and more”. This was stated by the former Minister of Health Ilko Semerdzhiev in the program “The Live Day” on NovaNews
He motivated his statement with the words of GERB leader Boyko Borisov, who said that he would not support a cabinet with the second and third exploratory mandates. “ GERB holds principled positions and are not inclined to compromises”, said Semerdzhiev.
"Bulgaria has never been ruled by just one party, it has always been ruled by coalitions," he added. Regarding the term “Technical Government” he pointed out that politics is not business. “We do not have such a constitutional term and its public use is an attempt to deceive”, added Semerdzhiev.
About the situation in DPS, he said that we do not know what is happening in this party and we do not know the mechanisms by which agreements or discords are reached. Decisions there are made in private, Semerdzhiev said.
„ In Bulgaria, there has been no battle for values for a long time. Even internationally, we allow ourselves to ignore values,” said the former health minister.
On drug pricing, he said the current “surrogate solutions” will lead to much bigger conversations next year.
