"The people around Peevski do not have a special move. Dogan referred to his informal power, which is no news to anyone that he possesses. But can Peevski henceforth have an independent political importance? That seems to me to be the central question."
This is what the journalist from "Capital" said in an interview with BNR. Polina Paunova.
With mystical statements, it is hinted that a separate party can be made, she pointed out.
"Delyan Peevski is not among the favorite politicians of anyone other than the prosecutor's office in Bulgaria.
If he leaves the DPS, which is an election machine, if he doesn't have this apparatus behind him, I'm not sure how successful Peevski would be, whatever financial resources he has. The loss of political legitimacy of the party machine means a definite political loss altogether. Therefore, Peevski and the others around him are in no hurry to leave, because it is not profitable for them."
We don't know what and who Peevski is in love with, the journalist also stated, referring to the sentence sent by Peevski to Dogan in a written statement that they know each other very well. According to her, this could also be read as blackmail.
The journalist expressed the opinion that there was a "total attempt to blow everything up".
"The only one who is absent from this conversation on Peevski's wing, the only ones not involved, are GERB. We know Borisov's abilities as a politician. He gets out of all kinds of situations so far. But right now it looks pretty unconvincing. Borisov embraced the idea of unification with Peevski, as long as it is not fixed on paper. GERD have been trying to make this symbiosis with DPS more acceptable all along. Now, when apparently the center of power in the DPS has been shifted, this is a problem for Borisov."
"We start asking ourselves – if Peevski is using this prosecutor's office, is he not protecting Borisov and is Borisov not dependent on Peevski. Once you are an addict, even if the situation is different, you are still an addict. He (Peevski – ed. note) may no longer provide him with comfort, but he may provide him with severe discomfort."
When did Ahmed Dogan realize that the prosecutor's office was being used for political purposes, she also asked.
On the topic "Magnetic" the questions to the DPS are extremely numerous,
and the specifics are essential so that people can draw a conclusion whether it is an affair or an agreement, said Paunova.
"The prosecution said – everything is fine with Peevski," she recalled.
When asked about the waving of an ethnic card, Paunova noted that every time there is even informal tension around the DPS, analyzes by "kind analysts" and party members that there is no problem with ethnic tension.
"Every time someone feels threatened by dealing with the DPS, they pull out that ethnic card. This argument these people want us to take up and cycle on."
If the Constitutional Court returns the amendments to the Constitution, the problems become at the level of basic justice, commented Polina Paunova in the show "Politically INCORRECT".
If we assume that Peevski can influence the Constitutional Court, it is just as problematic as it is problematic that he can influence the chief prosecutor, Paunova pointed out in connection with the concerns of pressure exerted on the Constitutional Court, expressed by the former Minister of Justice Atanas Slavov.
