In an accident on the road Montana - Berkovitsa - Sofia, two Italian citizens who were traveling on a motorcycle died today &bdquo ;BMW“. The deceased are a 50-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Montana informed BTA.
The accident happened around 3:30 p.m. near the junction for the village of Komarevo in Berkovitsa municipality. About 50 meters after crossing a railway crossing in the direction of Berkovitsa, and upon entering a bridge over the Burzia River, the foreigners hit a BMW car head-on.
They died on the spot, and both vehicles sustained significant material damage. The road was closed for about two hours, an inspection and technical examinations were carried out. A pre-trial proceeding has been initiated in the case, which should clarify the causes of the serious accident, the police directorate in Montana said.
