Yesterday in the town of Belovo I met with employees of PAVETS "Chaira", PAVETS "Belmeken", HPP "Sestrimo" and hydroelectric power plant "Momina Klisura" at their invitation.
This is what he wrote on "Facebook" Vanya Grigorova.
Despite the cheerful reports of the previous regular government, it appears that
in the enterprises of the cascade "Belmeken-Sestrimo" destructive processes are taking place:
- - cutting the number of employees
- - imputation of duties outside their professional sphere, which results in compromises with the safety of both the headquarters and the employees themselves
- - outsourcing of activities, which leads to additional workload for engineers. For example, it is planned that the cleaners will be released, and the cleaning will be carried out mainly by our already scarce specialists. Comment of a management staff: "You are going to clean, but who is cleaning for you?!"
- - release of the drivers, with the transport being taken over by the operational staff. Driving on narrow and broken roads, high in the mountains, before and after 12-hour shifts, in difficult conditions in most seasons (fogs, deep snow, rains) is a killer strain on the body. In addition, the people who maintain the roads to Belmeken and Sestrimo have also been laid off. These are mountain roads, not bike lanes in the center of Sofia!
- - their employment contracts have been changed so that they can be moved from one hydropower plant to another. But it is not a broom that behaves in the same way. Each headquarters has its specifics, which are learned after years of working in one place.
They were given training on how to act if terrorists appeared. But it doesn't need terrorists to take over this key infrastructure for our energy system.
There are simply no people there! NEK's hydropower plants, along with Kozloduy NPP and Maritsa East 2 TPP, are the largest producers of electricity in Bulgaria.
PAVETS is the largest and truly GREEN battery.
Instead of strengthening PAVETS Chaira and Belmeken, we are "optimizing" them by exploiting and bullying specialists who are already extremely hard to find. Why? Because someone has to argue the "need" from the purchase of batteries for 1.5 BILLION BGN under the Recovery and Sustainability Plan?
Because the destruction of the Bulgarian energy industry includes the destruction of this globally unique infrastructure that produces and stores electricity, helps with water supply and irrigation?
Back in 2020, Chaira employees have alerted the management that the neglect of established standards and procedures, underfunding, uncompleted repairs will lead to work accidents and accidents.
They are already a fact. The management of NEK and the Minister of Energy owe answers to these questions. As soon as possible!
