People will remember the 50th parliament with the scandals, political scientist Assoc. Stoicho Stoichev told BNR.
According to him, bills of all kinds were voted on in this parliament:
"It is not advisable for a parliament that is unable to form a stable and stable majority to legislate, especially on issues that affect fundamental spheres or fundamentally rearrange social relations".
According to the political scientist, fragmentation in the National Assembly is not a problem, the problem is that the parties cannot form a coalition majority, which is why a cabinet cannot be announced, and the parliament cannot conduct a one-way legislative policy.
He does not agree with the statement that GERB and DPS have been running the country for 15 years. A number of bills, initiated by completely different parliamentary groups, were adopted despite the opposition of GERB and DPS, explained Prof. Stoychev.
According to him, electoral preferences and attitudes remain stable. He thinks this is a good thing and explained:
"If voters change their electoral attitudes in 2-3 months, this will lead to destabilization of the political system.
In his words, this is a warning to the parties that they should think about partnerships with each other and that they should be durable and sustainable over time. For him it is a "chimera" one party to have a majority and do one-party government.
In an interview for the show "Before all" Associate Professor Stoicho Stoichev expressed the opinion that the tremors in the DPS will probably lead to electoral damage for the party. However, according to him, at the moment it is too early, because it is not known with which lists the Movement will appear in the elections and who will register them.
The judicial system is the one that must answer why it did not act between 2021 and 2024, after it had signals about Rumen Gaitanski-Valka's credit, the political scientist is categorical. And added:
" Surely Peevski had undergone a catharsis and was already good because he voted for the reform of the PP-DB - this was said by the PP-DB, who were partners in the hall. /.../ The only one who defended the budget procedure and the microphones in the hall was Peevski with Yordan Tsonev. They were guarding from "Revival" not to turn off the sound in the plenary hall. They were good then. Right now it turns out they're not that good".
Associate Professor Stoychev is also adamant that the Ministry of the Interior must say what is happening with the investigation into the murder of Aleksey Petrov. "No one says or asks anything about the murder of the architect of the assembly," he noted. According to him, this is extremely important. There are other murders in the past year that are important, he added. According to him, the police protests and pressure are in the wrong direction:
"Fixation in one particular person has always been an extremely large deficit. We cannot say that we have a systemic problem and it will be solved by removing one person. If the removal of Kalin Stoyanov is achieved, it will probably be achieved, we will again have the same situation in exactly 2 months, as it was before, only the person will not be called Kalin Stoyanov, but in another way. It doesn't matter at all who the minister of the interior is if we want to solve systemic problems".
"Many twists and surprises we have become accustomed to seeing in recent years. Nothing is certain at the moment," said Prof. Stoychev regarding the formation of the new cabinet.
