Kiril Petkov: Only mass voting will mess up their accounts - 1

Even before the official announcement of the composition of the new Council of Ministers from PP- DB expressed reservations about the appointment of Atanas Ilkov as interior minister. The previous Minister of Transport Georgi Gvozdeikov, who was expelled from the PP party because of his decision to remain in the caretaker government, left politics.

Late last night, the co-chairman of PP DB Kiril Petkov announced that Boyko Borisov and Delyan Peevski are the ones who want to make Atanas Ilkov head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In "Facebook" Petkov reminded that Maria Gabriel had first proposed Ilkov as Minister of Internal Affairs before Kalin Stoyanov. However, PP-DB rejected it because of Peevski and because of the action in Lyaskovets.

"We have not changed our minds. Only the mass voting in the elections will mess up their accounts”, wrote Petkov.

We remind you that in 2014, a team from the anti-terrorist unit of the Ministry of the Interior was sent against an armed man who had barricaded himself in his house in Lyaskovets. The action ended with a dead policeman and three injured uniformed men.

At that time, Ilkov was the head of the "Criminal Police" department. to the Main Directorate "Criminal Police".

After this case, he headed the regional administrations in Plovdiv and Kardzhali. In order to become a minister, Ilkov will part with his previous post of director of the Main Directorate "National Police".

After not finding a place in the new official cabinet, Georgi Gvozdeikov - former Minister of Transport in the first official cabinet of Dimitar Glavchev, but also in the cabinet of Nikolay Denkov - announced that he was leaving politics.

"I say goodbye to politics, but not with disappointment”, he wrote on the social network.

Gvozdeikov was expelled from the PP because of his decision to remain a minister in Glavchev's government.
