Kyuchuk: The big question is what policy this government will implement - 1

The big question is what policy this government will implement and the litmus test will be the attitude towards Peevski. Let's give confidence to Glavchev and see if he will distinguish himself in the second "Glavchev" cabinet.

This was commented on the air of BNR by Ilhan Kyuchyuk from DPS, chairman of the legal committee in the EP.

"If the interior minister does what the previous one does, we are talking about bias and political interference, and about managing people who have their addictions. Let's give this government time to see what it is capable of. We called on him to show a democratic standard to all political forces," Kyuchuk said.

And he added that the impossibility of Glavchev distinguishing himself from the shadow of Peevski and "giving him a chance to correct himself" has already been seen once.

Kyuchuk also shared his opinion that Bulgaria is very late with the proposals for a European Commissioner:

"De facto Bulgaria does not participate in the construction of European politics. Romania will start from 2025 to freely travel to the USA, without visas. We were together in the same boat, but they are leaving us and are already in that of the rich countries. The decision is that from this week they will travel visa-free."
He warned that the absence of a Bulgarian commissioner puts us in a weak position.

"This means taking what is handed to us, we are leaving the negotiation process without having entered it," he added.

According to him, it is not clear how the people that Bulgaria will propose for European Commissioner will be chosen:

"There is one big problem in Bulgarian politics, who makes the decision. I don't understand the mechanism. Because we listened to people with big promises and used people with unproven expertise. Will there be a commission in the National Assembly or will the Commission on European Affairs consider the nominations."

Kyuchyuk admitted that it is clear to everyone that Peevski has no other idea than to destroy the DPS and all public and bought media measures will be applied to destroy the DPS brand.

"I am in communication with people and you can see the one-way message from them, which is "DPS without Peevski" and means "Bulgaria without Peevski" and the addictions that it represents," the MEP is emphatic. And he recalled that he signaled the European institutions about the use of the Bulgarian institutions as clubs to put pressure on members and supporters of the DPS.
