"BDZ will not be profitable. The railroad has never been profitable. It is indirectly profitable because it provides mobility to people and businesses, and the state profits from that. The question is another - that for each area we must have some scheduled program - with funding and responsibilities. Until that happens, every successive minister will take pictures, the next one can bring wagons from Singapore, which are the best.
This is what Simeon Ananiev - a member of the Board of the Association of Railway Enterprises - commented before the BNR.
In his words, the minister should be a political person who has a team of experts around him, and "not a team of companies that have to win given orders". He called for us to adopt a 20-year program for BDZ.
In the show "12+4" the expert stated that he knows the previous Minister of Transport, Georgi Gvozdeikov. According to him, the ministerial office has changed him in a negative direction.
"I think the former minister was "taken over" from the PR people who took him to take pictures before things happened", he pointed out and expressed the opinion that in Bulgaria politics has turned to PR.
Ananiev tried to point out a serious mistake to him, but he did not hear him: "Before you buy these wagons, you should know that the money for buying equipment - you still need to have that much for support, i.e. is. to train personnel, to provide parts and operation, and there is no such money".
He also knows the nominee for the new transport minister, Krasimira Stoyanova. He said about her that she is a very good professional, lawyer, principled and responsible person. But:
"All orders go through her. What worries me a lot is that she will be under a lot of pressure. /.../ Many things will come to her head. BDZ will be one of the small things. It will never be easy for Krasimira Stoyanova.
