A serious accident near Asenovgrad. The accident happened around 5:00 p.m. Two cars collided head-on at the junction for the village of Cherven on the road between Asenovgrad and Kardjali. Emergency teams, the fire brigade and the police were immediately dispatched to the scene.
According to preliminary data, both cars were crushed and the passengers in them had to be removed with specialized equipment. At this stage, the Ministry of the Interior does not report the number of victims.
Traffic in the area of the accident is stopped until the work of the law enforcement officers is completed. Traffic from Kardzhali to Asenovgrad is redirected via Haskovo.
In the opposite direction, drivers should choose other possible routes, one of which is the main road I-8, specified by the Ministry of Interior-Plovdiv.
